AESAC Conference

AESAC will hold another conference in 2005 March. The event will take place at Lakehead University. Our goals are to define "Indian Education" and to facilitate an understanding of what various political groups in Ontario are doing in terms of working towards jurisdiction of their education. We endeavor to to develop a common understanding of who has jurisdiction over Aboriginal/Indian education and how that is negotiated.

Target Audience

The target audience for this conference are the grassroots people: the average person (Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal), students, teacher candidates, and adult learners for example. We feel that it is of supreme importance to address "Jurisdiction of Education" to the grassroots, as the grassroots and the general population have a high stake in this issue.
